Calculationzz!!

                 So, hello readers!
Hope you are healthy n hearty..

Here's A HINT to how our evaluation will take place for the remaining exams, if we go for the second option, i.e. if we dont want to give board exams. I repeat,  A HINT. I havent created this myself. It is proposed by the advocate who is fighting for us in the Bombay High Court, Mr. Arvind Tiwari. And IT IS NOT FINAL YET. THE COURT IS YET TO DECIDE ABT IT. BUT IT IS PROBABLY THE BEST METHOD THEY CAN GO FOR.   Here it goes:

  • As we all know, our preboard result is already with the CISCE.
  • The marks we got in the 6 or 7 subjects in our pre-board exams will be subtracted from the marks we get in our board exams for each subject.
  • This way, the board will get the difference between our performance in boards and pre-boards.
  • From this, a growth percentage will be calculated
  • If the growth percentage is more, that is, we have got more marks in boards than pre-boards, then the growth percentage will be ADDED to our pre-board marks.
  • If the growth percentage is less, that is, we have got less marks in boards than pre-boards, the growth percentage will be SUBTRACTED from our pre-board marks for the 3 or 4 subjects only.
Now i know many of you won't have understood. So here is an example:

Example)

Someone got 60 marks (/80) in PRE-BOARD of maths.
But she got 70 marks (/80) in BOARD of maths.
The CISCE will calculate the difference of both marks. (70-60=10).

Likewise, the difference of all marks of THE PAPERS ALREADY CONDUCTED  will be calculated. That is, for maths, eng1, eng2, history civics, physics, chemistry (and punjabi).

After this, CISCE will calculate the growth percentage of each student.
They will then add this growth percentage to our PRE-BOARD marks of the remaining subjects, i.e. Computer, Geography, Biology (and Hindi) . This way, they ll get our remaining board marks.

Pt to be noted:
If u get less marks in boards than pre-boards, your growth %age will obviously be less. So this will be subtracted from ur PRE-BOARD marks. (Eg. In Boards u get 60 in maths but in preboards u had got 70. This will result in a lower growth %age. )

So the ones who are going for this option should be WISE ENOUGH to estimate the correct possibility of their marks.

The new hearing by bombay high court

Hello, class 10th-11th students!

Here's what happened today in the Bombay High Court..

The CISCE has given 2 options to all the affiliated students of class 10 icse :

1) The ICSE BOARDS 2020 will be conducted  as per the scheduled time table released on 22 May.

2) All the students of ICSE board will be given the option of allowing their marks of the remaining subjects to be assessed on the basis of  INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS, PREBOARD RESULT, AND THE MARKS THEY WILL GET IN THE EXAMS ALREADY CONDUCTED. The council will take out a method of evaluation for the same.
The CISCE will communicate this option to the affiliated schools which will tell this to all the parents and students of their respective schools. They will have to report their option by 22 JUNE and they can, later on,  CHANGE THEIR OPTION too.

Now,  a relief:
THE CISCE HAS SAID THAT IF THE CASES WILL INCREASE, THEY PAPERS WILL BE CANCELLED AND THE FINAL MARKSHEET WILL BE RELEASED ON THE BASIS OF THE PREBOARD RESULT .

  •  The Bombay high court has scheduled its next hearing for 17 JUNE.
  • The CBSE hearing in supreme court will be on 17 JUNE in the Supreme Court
  • Arvind Tiwari had stated that THE BOARD SHOULD TAKE OUT A WELL DEFINED METHOD FOR EVALUATION ,IF STUDENTS OPT FOR MARKS ON PREBOARD BASIS AND INTERNAL ASSESSMENT . BECAUSE PREBOARD MARKING IS STRICT AND NOT SAME ALL OVER INDIA.
  • The court has also asked the state to give its view on the Covid situation.
  • The case may not be dismissed day after.
  • The schools will communicate the options to all their students in a day or two.

Thank you for reading!
Stay tuned for the next verdict!
